Since 2019, Fraunhofer IESE has been supporting the city of Ulm in the introduction of a data platform for the efficient exchange of data between public administration, urban institutions, companies, and citizens. As a basic infrastructure, the “Ulm Data Hub” enables the development of innovative services and thus paves the way for the city of Ulm to become a “Smart City”.
In addition to the elicitation of requirements and the resulting service specification, Fraunhofer IESE is responsible for managing the technical implementation and represents the city of Ulm as the technical contact vis-à-vis the platform provider. The activities also include translation of the requirements into concrete functionalities as well as acceptance tests of the implemented software.
