    Reference Project DEMETER: In the publicly funded Smart Farming EU project DEMETER, Fraunhofer IESE and its project partners are striving to develop and implement innovative solutions for agriculture based on technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics. Overall, Fraunhofer IESE’s developments in the DEMETER project contribute to ensuring that the data collected in agriculture is reliable and accurate, which in turn leads to informed decisions and enables more efficient and sustainable agriculture. With the tools we have developed for data quality assessment and driving behavior analysis, we can not only assess the quality of structured data, optimize fuel consumption, and reduce vehicle wear and tear, but these tools can also be used for predictive maintenance.
